Registration will open March 1st, 2022 at 12:00 AM for professionals and amateurs (8.5 max. USGA handicap Index), age 50 and over by July 12, on a first-come, first-serve basis. The field will be limited to 156 players. Exempt players (see 2022 Exemption List) will have until June 1, 2022 to enter. As exempt players enter this will move non-exempt players who have entered further down on their position. So, it is important for non-exempt players to register early.

The Competition will be conducted by The Connecticut Section PGA in two stroke play stages.

1. Age Group Championships; 18-holes on Monday, July 11, to determine age group winners in both amateur and professional divisions. Prizes to be awarded to the following age groups in both divisions: 50-59; 60-69; 70 & up. Prizes for amateurs will be gift certificates redeemable at the Shennecossett golf shop, and professionals will be mailed prize checks. Ties for low score in a division decided by a match of cards, all other places will split prizes.

2. Senior Open; 36-hole, stroke play competition.

Monday, July 11 - First round, 18-holes; There will be a cut to the 72 lowest scores and ties.

Tuesday, July 12 - Second round, 18-holes; If necessary, A Sudden-death playoff to determine the overall champion immediately will take place upon the completion of regulation play.
